Welcome to Virtual Classrooms' Training and Development Support System

You have entered the Virtual Classrooms Institute's e-Campus, known as Online Course Management System. The constructivist way of learning and where educators and students respectively and "actively construct new knowledge as they interact" in their online environment. Certificates of completion are issued upon completion of training.

As our continuing online education training proceeds, we are making the courses available every month to accommodate the demand for the training. Educators and students will benefit from this approach due to its highly structured Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Available Courses

  • This course introduces students to online education. Gives students all the hands-on in navigation of the learning platform and ensures that all concerns and fears of online learning are resolved and that students achieve a comfortable level of taking online courses. Students are exposed on how to locate and use elibrary, reports, grades, postings, writing centers, efolders, reading materials, videos, edit, platform email accounts, technical support team, academic advisors, student success tools, take general inventory of the LMS and general learning methodology. Prerequisite: None.   

  • This course exposes students to online teamwork and how to work as a team in a learning community to achieve optimum result in an online environment. Students learn how to use several collaborative learning tools to start projects, collaborate in virtual rooms for a successful project. Students are exposed on how to take assessment of each other, their courses, instructors, textbooks, ebooks, other course materials, submit team projects, sign team contracts and general collaborative methodology. Prerequisite: VC100.   

     

  • Mathematics: Basic operations with whole numbers, place value and rounding, order of operations, prime and composite numbers, prime factorization, and application. Also, covered are fractions, decimals, percent, ratio, proportion and metric system. Emphasis is placed on solving word problems, geometry, and basic statistics. English: Covers sentence structures, verb tense errors, word choice, word error, subject/verb agreement, reading and writing, develop and organize paragraphs, basic punctuation, sentence clarity and complexity. Emphasis is placed on writing clear, well-developed academic essays, checking grammar and punctuation errors. General Science: This subject unifies the concepts of astronomy, biology, chemistry and physics. Also, covers their historical implications. Prerequisite: None. 

  • This course focuses on improvement of reading techniques, with attention to individual developmental problems. Increases the student’s vocabulary, improve reading comprehension, writing, and knowledge of the language operations. It introduces how to improve comprehension and speed in reading prose; and the discipline and skills of English and its several components, with emphasis to vocational applications. It examines how words have been added to the English language in the past, study of patterns of word formation, and study of lexicography. Prerequisite: None.

  • This course examines the great ideas of physics, biology and chemistry, together with their philosophical and social impact. Scientific topics include cosmology, relativity, and quantum mechanics. It covers the philosophical and social topics include methods and values of science, problems related to energy sources and implications of modern weapons. This course introduces the principles of biology and integrated course sequence dealing with plant and animal material; includes basic concepts related to conservation of natural resources. This course also introduces the fundamental principles of chemistry, the survey of basic chemical principles and the basic concepts in general, inorganic and organic chemistry. Prerequisite: VC200 or Consent.

  • This course focuses on topics in algebra, trigonometry and geometry. Prerequisite: VC200 or Consent.

  • This course focuses on the introductory part of the health care fields, development of theoretical knowledge and interpersonal skills needed to interact effectively in a variety of health care settings. It examines competences required in all areas of healthcare. It explores functional health patterns used as the basis for assessment and care of clients. It exposes students to communication, empathy, passion, compassion, teaching, helping, problem solving, and leadership skills required and applied as a framework for clinical practice. By end of the course student will be able to narrow and choose a suitable professional area of healthcare to pursue successfully. Prerequisite: VC200.

  • This course uses the premise that a penny saved is a penny earned and projects the attitude of need and not want. Students are introduced to bookkeeping, income statement, cash flow, balance sheet and financial risks. It focuses on consumer education, protection to consumer, management of personal finances, consumer buying problems, significance of efficient consumption to economy. Prerequisite: None. 

  • This course introduces business and the environments in which it exists and operates. Students examine all areas of business, its functions and how they relate to each other. It explores the challenges faced by the business owners in initiating business ventures. It evaluates organizational concepts, techniques, economic, cultural, political and technological factors affecting business organizations. Students familiarize themselves with business plan. The course also examines practical ways to develop organizational communication plans that integrate marketing, advertising and public relations strategies. It explores the potential of e-commerce and its impact on business practices. It discusses the techniques to support the development of an Internet marketing plan and related website. It explores the fundamental legal principles encountered in the business environment. Prerequisite: None.

  • This course introduces educators to online education and guides them to develop a shared vocabulary of online learning, technical and language. It delves into online etiquettes, hands on how to navigate the entire platform - grades, posts, control panels, set-up classrooms, conduct online learning and shows educators the techniques of giving online feedback. It discusses concerns involved in pedagogical delivery of quality online education. It also concentrates on the practice of online teaching through the theories of online learning communities, constructivist learning and transformative learning. Prerequisite: Graduate standing. 

  • This course utilizing already designed online course to achieve a desired learning outcomes. It guides educators to participate in online, incorporate other learning tools to create and maintain student engagement and conduct effective assessment of students’ work. It also focuses on the educators' teaching styles, students' learning styles, student-centered learning and asynchronous approach to learning. Prerequisite: VC500.

  • This course focuses on current business operations, change and stress involved on quality performance for successful organizations. It explores the need for developing qualified employees and management staff. It allows the student to gain in-depth knowledge of training and performance development essential as a line manager or human resource specialist. It emphasizes on employers understanding of the process of training and development and explains the fundamental principles of performance, identifies critical factors in workplace performance and how to analyze the causes of performance problems. It addresses the process for determining training needs, understanding and developing effective training and development methodology. It guides students in validating those designed methods, implementing them and accurately evaluating the effectiveness of the chosen processes. It distinguishes between training and development and addresses their complimentary functions in the modern organization. The course discusses the understanding of how people learn, the use of computerized technology and the legal considerations of training. Prerequisite: Consent.
